Grading
Students have all quarter to turn in their work for full credit. So if a student has been absent or gets behind on their work they can still get a 4 (100%).
It should be noted, though, that every assignment has a due date. So the grade book will reflect a low score until they have completed the work and turned it in.
Finally, getting caught up on computer assignments can be difficult. Students may not be able to stay after school, or do not have access to computers with the same software as we have here at Highlands Middle School. To accommodate this we have something called "Make Up Free Days". On this day, students who have less than a 4 work on their work and turn it in. Students who have a 4 can complete selected activities on our Make Up Free Day website.
